this game was so good that i made a user name so i can post how good it is :P
The game play was nice but it did get a bit old when that boss takes you out for 7 time :(.

btw here the Strategy i used to beat the boss.
When it goes to use Boulders, go next to te boss and start jumping ((i was on the left side when i did it))

when he done with the spell, he start jumping as well, keep doing this untill the Boulders are about to drop((or beam comes)), then get the hell out of there((Dash helps but you can do it with out with skill and luck)). with luck boss will get hit. keep doing this untill you kill him ((you have better luck hiting him when it can call more boulders at ones)) get Regen,Hardiness and Dash for better luck

I'm having some trouble with the gems in the top eastern corner of the game. The ones just out of reach of your double jump. Anyone got any advice on how to reach them? Also this game is awesome can't wait for the sequel.

I used a different strategy for the nightmare. All you need is double jump and full jump, but a high fortitude helps.

To start, just go all the way to the left, and jump on to the top platform. Then, just press against the wall and wait. I'm not sure why, but if you are all the way against the wall, if the boss tries to slash you he gets stuck underneath the platform. The trick is to wait until you see a small row of shadows (the boulders) coming down. As soon as you see them, double jump to the other side of the room. I did this, and the boss got hit with this almost every time. Then just collect the dark gems and double jump back to However, it only works sometimes once the nightmare gets really strong. Then he is sometimes in the middle when the boulders fall. However, this doesn't happen much. The only danger is his blade attack once there are 2 or more blades. Still, it's easy to dodge. just let it get close, then tap X and you should make it right between them. Just repeat this and it shouldn't be too hard.

You know what I like the most about this game? It's idyllic. You just run around and explore a beutiful world while you pick gems here and there. You feel pretty free, and that keeps the game coming. I think it's more a spiritual successor to William and Sly than to Upgrade Complete.

And honestly as for the 100% reward, it seems pretty 'meh'. You need to spice it up a bit.

sry to bug u... Did record the heartbreaker yet? because it's easy as long as you have max every thing and most skills (radar not needed) Although i dont have it newgrounds i did it on kongregate i just waited in the middle till boss came to hit him and the light can be avoided.

I have a bug to report. I collected the bottom-eastmost Huge Gem, then loaded. (I had saved at the postbox right next to it, a few seconds prior.) The gem was gone when I loaded, and the Huge Gem entry was only added to my codex on the next gem I collected. I am now unable to get credit for collecting all five, and curiously, my Radar keeps going back to where the one near the Tyrants was.

Fortunately, I have gotten 100% several times now already, so I'm not too peeved. I would be if this were my first run, though.

Update on my previous comment: Refreshing the newgrounds page (or more accurately, reloading the Flash file) and loading caused the Tyrant Huge Gem to reappear, thus fixing the issue.

Here's another hint for the boss... if you stand on the platform at the left, all the way back, the shadow gets stuck underneath it onstead of jumping up to get you. Just jump to dodge the flaming swords and run in and collect gems when she take damage. It may take awhile, but it's safe and all you really need is double jump and a full set of lvl 5 skills (easy to get in one day)

Level up rocked oh and an idea why not have more than 1 playable person like if you beat the game be abel to play as the girl and if you beat her get some kind of medal or power up in game or a code or somthing(im talking about 2 cuz you are done with one)
